Powered by a jobsite-proven Vanguard. commercial engine (270cc) with overhead valve, electronic ignition and low oil alert system, the 4950-20 delivers 5,000 watts (maximum AC output) of reliable power. For optimal tool starting and voltage regulation, the 4950-20 is equipped with a premium brushed alternator with automatic voltage regulation (AVR) and a full-time, max power feature which automatically delivers maximum power to all outlets (120v duplex and/or 240v Twist-Locking). This exclusive, hassle-free feature eliminates the risk of costly equipment or generator damage when the correct voltage is not selected by the user, a necessity on many competing generators. The control panel of the 4950-20 features an optimal mix of seven 120v and/or 240v duplex and Twist-Locking power receptacles, providing more power solutions for more tools. For complete personal protection, the entire generator is protected by a central ground fault circuit interrupter system, unlike other competitors with G.F.C.I. protection only on the 120v duplex outlets. Each circuit is also protected by a dedicated, UL-approved (UL489) branch-rated circuit breaker to ensure consistent, reliable power cut-off independent of other circuits during overload situations. To withstand jobsite abuse, the 4950-20 generator features a durable, 1-1/4in steel roll-cage frame, rugged, 12in all-terrain non-flat tires, and an impact-resistant stainless steel control panel which is recessed and reinforced by a solid steel frame support. The control panel circuit breakers and panel switches are 100% sealed and all receptacles are shielded by a UV and rain-resistant shield. Finally, engine vibration is minimized with a heavy-duty, solid-steel engine mount spreader bar with durable, rubber vibration mounts. Born to run with productivity in mind, the 4950-20 is equipped with an extra-large, 7.5 gallon, steel gas tank with up to 60% more capacity than the competition, minimizing generator fuel stops. In addition, the 4950-20 features an automatic engine idle control which reduces fuel consumption and noise during no-load periods.
