An O-ring is a donut shaped device used to create an air- or water-tight seal in numerous different appliances and machinery. When the ring is compressed, it creates the barrier which blocks the liquid or gas from escaping. There are several reasons why an O-ring may fail, and if you notice leaking with your equipment the ring should be replaced to ensure a tight seal.
