Ordering Questions

How do I know if my order was placed?
All purchasers will be sent an order confirmation email immediately upon order placement. If you believe you have placed an order but you did not receive this confirmation email, please call, email or Live-Chat to ensure your order has processed.

Do I need to place my order online?
Although we recommend that users place all orders online, we happily take orders by phone and accept orders via email and fax.
Toll-Free Phone: 1-877-908-PART (7568)
email: sales@toolsandmachinery.com
Fax: 801-485-4288 (please send faxes to the attention of mmToolParts.com)

When will my order ship?
Most orders ship between 1 and 5 business days of order placement. If your order is not available to ship within 5 business days, you will receive an order status update email within that 5 business day period. You may also refer to our table of estimated shipping times for a projected shipping time-frame or call, email or Live-Chat for shipping estimates.

Can I cancel my order?
Orders may be canceled at any time before they are shipped; no strings attached. Canceled orders will be entirely refunded at the time of cancellation. Please allow up to 5 business days for refunds to reflect on your bank/credit card statement.
Because orders that have already shipped can not be canceled or recalled, returning orders that have been shipped must be processed in accordance with our return policy.

Shipping Questions

Do you ship internationally?
mmToolParts.com is proud to be a global distributor, accordingly, yes, we can ship nearly everywhere in the world and happily ship internationally.

How much is shipping?
Freight charges are calculated based on the weight of the item(s) ordered, the shipping destination of said item(s), and the delivery method selected for that shipment; accordingly, shipping costs vary based on weight, delivery location and delivery method. Because all orders ship in either a box or a padded envelope, $4.45 (applied to some USPS First-Class Mail selections) is the minimum freight charge presently available; from there, freight charges gradually increase with respect to the above criteria.
Users may estimate freight charges for items/orders using the freight estimation tool on our website. Simply add desired items to your cart, click the “cart” button, update your shipping information, and “recalculate;” this will generate an individuated freight estimate.

I paid for faster shipping; why hasn't my order shipped yet?
Though many orders ship on the day of order placement, delivery method time-frames (such as 3-day delivery) apply to a shipment only after that order has shipped - not upon order placement. Accordingly, selected shipping methods reflect how soon orders will arrive after they have shipped, not, necessarily, after the order has been placed. Please see estimated shipping times or call, email, or Live-Chat for an estimated shipping time.

How will I know when my order ships?
All purchasers will be sent a shipping confirmation email with tracking information immediately upon order shipment.

First-Class shipping is less expensive, but do you recommend it?
To put it simply, USPS First-Class Mail delivery is not guaranteed. Accordingly, albeit rare, there is a possibility that packages shipped via this method will be delayed or lost in transit. Although you may save a few dollars by selecting First-Class Mail, as with all things, you get what you pay for, and, because there is no insurance or guarantee for this delivery method, mmToolParts.com is not responsible for the reimbursement or replacement of delayed or lost USPS First-Class Mail packages.
Where purchasers are willing to take this chance, USPS is an economical and generally reliable option. For our money's worth, though, Priority or Ground allows a bit more peace of mind.

Can I pick up my online order?
All online purchases must be shipped; in other words, there is not at this time an option for in-store pick-ups of online purchases.

Pricing Questions

Do you price match?
Our goal is to provide the very best service which, for us, includes offering the best prices. Accordingly, we will do everything we can to meet or beat a lower price if you can find one among our competitors. In order to meet our competitor's pricing, we simply require a valid link or advertisement to verify lower prices and a few moments to ensure we can match that price. Please call, email or Live-Chat for more information about price matching.

Is online pricing different from in-store pricing?
Because our website, mmToolParts.com, and our physical business, M&M Tool and Machinery, function as two wholly separate entities, on-line pricing does not apply to in-store purchases (and vice versa). Accordingly, if users request a quote from mmToolParts, that quote is not valid at M&M Tool and Machinery (and, of course, vice versa).

I forgot to apply a coupon code, can I apply that coupon after my order has been placed?
mmToolParts.com will happily apply valid coupon codes to existing orders that have not yet shipped. Please call, email or Live-Chat to apply valid coupons to existing orders.

Payment Questions

Why was I charged for my order before my order shipped?
Although we offer unparallelled experience, service and selection, mmToolParts.com is a small, family operated company; in order to keep our prices low and our shipping efficient, credit cards, debit cards, or PayPal accounts will be charged for the entire order amount at the time of purchase. In other words, payment for all orders is taken at the time of order placement, not necessarily at the time of shipment. This policy allows our small business to serve you better, faster, and more efficiently.

What payment methods are accepted?
mmToolParts.com happily accepts all major credit/debit cards, PayPal, and cashier's checks (please make all checks payable to M&M Tool and Machinery).

What happens if my credit card is declined?
If your credit or debit card declines at the time of purchase, you will receive an error message stating the reason for that payment failure. Credit/debit cards are most commonly declined for a mismatch between the billing address provided by the user and the billing address associated with the card used, or because payment information has been incorrectly entered. If an error message does not appear, please call, email or Live-Chat for more information.

Can I Create a Net-30 Account?
mmToolParts.com is happy to establish net-30 accounts for corporations, government purchasers, or high-volume purchasers. Please call toll-free at 877-583-PART (7278) for a credit application or for more information on net-30 account creation.

How long does it take for a refund to process?
In the event of a cancellation, return, or price adjustment that results in a refund, said refund is issued immediately. It may, however, require up to 5 business days for your financial institution process that refund and to release those funds into your account. Accordingly, please allow up to 5 business days for refunds to reflect on your bank/credit card statement.

Product/Inventory Questions

Why can't I find the item I'm looking for?
Despite our efforts to remain in perfect sync, occasionally we miss a beat; accordingly, if the item you're looking for is not listed online or if you have any questions about what you see listed, please contact us via phone, email, or Live-Chat; we are happy to provide any additional information you might need and can usually add parts or products to the website in a snap.
Because we can procure virtually every available item from every manufacturer we carry, if the product you're searching for does not appear online, we can post it in a matter of minutes.

How do I know if an item is in stock?
Although we keep hundreds of thousands of items in our regular inventory, our website does not reflect our physical inventory or available stock online. If you require stock verification, item availability or an estimated shipping time for an order or an item, please refer to our table of estimated shipping times or call, email or Live-Chat for that information.

What if an item is on backorder?
Due to unforeseen demand or production delays, manufacturers will occasionally place items on factory backorder. This means that the item is not presently available and cannot be procured from the manufacturer until that backorder releases. Manufacturers may place items on backorder with no notice to their vendors and may or may not provide estimated release dates for those backorders.
If a backordered item has been placed on order, the purchaser will be notified of that backorder and its current release status within 5 business days of order placement.

What if the item I need is discontinued or obsolete?
For a number of reasons, manufacturers may discontinue an item from their catalog. This means that that particular item is no longer being manufactured and is no longer available. Although in some cases a manufacturer will release a factory authorized replacement or substitution for that item, some discontinued items simply become obsolete.
If a substitution or replacement is not listed for an item and it is not specified that there is no available replacement for the item, please call, email or Live-Chat to find compatible or similar products.

Why would an item state that it has been replaced or substituted?
Where items have been discontinued or are otherwise not available, manufacturers may release substitute or replacement items. Replacement items will often have a different part number and may reflect a sub-brand, sister-brand, or parent-brand of the same manufacturer. For example, a Bosch item may be substituted with a Skil item, or vice versa. In every case, the replacement item is a factory authorized substitution supplied by the manufacturer to replace the unavailable product. Because these substitutions are fully compatible, mmToolParts.com may ship factory replacement products without notice to the purchaser.

Will replacement or substitution items cost more than the item they're superseding?
While some replacement/substitution items necessitate price adjustments, the price of the superseding item may be more than, less than, or the same as the obsolete item. In the event of a price discrepancy, mmToolParts.com may refund excess payment, may waive additional costs, or may require additional payment before order completion.

Is there a minimum order amount required to purchase?
At mmToolParts.com, we are happy to fill all orders, large or small. Accordingly, there is no minimum dollar amount required to purchase from our website and we happily extend the same great service to every customer.

Repair Questions

What is a parts diagram?
A parts diagram or schematic is a diagram or breakdown of a power tool or machine that shows how the machine comes apart, comes back together, and includes a list of the part numbers that correspond with the components in the diagram.
In other words, a parts diagram breaks down a piece of equipment into its respective parts and pieces allowing users to see the tool segmented into its disembodied components. This helps users determine which parts they need for repair, helps them track potential damage within the machine, and helps them understand how that machine functions and how to maintain that functionality.
Like an anatomical chart, diagrams and parts lists can be a very helpful resource in diagnosing, repairing and understanding your equipment. To use these lists, simply review the parts diagram and carefully determine which parts you need. Each part in the diagram is identified with a diagram number (usually no more than 3 characters). This diagram number corresponds with a part number on the associated parts list. This part number (usually longer than the diagram number) is the number you will need when checking pricing and availability or when placing an order.

Is it worth it to repair my power tool?
In almost all cases, it is a wiser decision to repair your power tools before replacing them; in fact, we recommend repairs under almost every diagnostic circumstance. Of course, there are a few situations in which the parts  or time required to repair a power tool or machine are greater than the cost to replace it; in these cases we recommend you start fresh with a new machine. More often than not, though, it is a smarter, more economical choice to repair and maintain your current power tools. After all, a good service can restore power tools and machines to like-new condition.
Additionally, our expert staff of crafters and technicians are available for consultation should you require advice or direction when repairing a tool or when determining if a repair is right for your situation.  We also provide free repair quotes. If you're curious about the cost of a repair, bring or send your equipment to us, ask for a repair estimate, and we'll provide one for free.

Why can't I find the parts diagram I need?
Like all moving things, occasionally we miss a step; accordingly, if the diagram or parts list you're looking for does not appear online or if you have any questions about how to use or read a parts diagram, please contact us via phone, email, or Live-Chat; we are happy to provide any additional information or guidance you might need and can usually send you a parts list or diagram in a snap.
