The Festool 452862 Selector Switch is designed for select older-generation Festool CT mobile dust extractors, including:

Festool dust extractors were produced in different voltage configurations and production revisions. Verify your specific model, voltage, T-Nr number, and applicable Festool parts diagram before ordering to ensure proper fitment.

Switch Functions

The 452862 selector switch controls the primary operating modes of the compatible Festool CT dust extractor:

  • I (On): Runs the dust extractor continuously in manual operating mode.
  • 0 (Off): Turns the dust extractor off.
  • Auto: Allows the dust extractor to start automatically when a compatible power tool connected to the extractor's power outlet is switched on.

When to Replace the Selector Switch

A worn or damaged selector switch can prevent the dust extractor from operating correctly in one or more modes. Common symptoms that may indicate switch replacement is necessary include:

  • Dust extractor does not turn on in manual mode
  • Automatic tool-triggered operation no longer works
