This is a genuine item that is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer for use with Porter Cable hammer drills. It is an identical replacement for a faulty or missing switch which controls the on/off and variable speed functions of the tool. Over time components may wear out and begin to fail eventually requiring a replacement. This is a complete kit which includes the mechanical switch and the plastic lever.
