This drive sprocket in your chainsaw is responsible for transferring power from the engine to the cutting chain, allowing it to rotate and cut through material. Located on the output shaft, the drive sprocket is connected to the chain mechanism. If you notice signs of wear or damage, such as a loose or misaligned sprocket, it is time for a replacement. To replace the sprocket, begin by removing the battery, chain cover, chain, and bar. Then, remove the left-handed bolt, move the chain brake, and carefully pull out the old sprocket. Install the new sprocket with the necessary washers for proper alignment and reduced chain movement. Finally, reassemble the remaining parts, ensuring that the bolt tightens counterclockwise. Please note that this OEM replacement part is sold individually.
