This is a genuine manufacturer supplied replacement part. It is commonly used item on Dewalt impact drivers. It is generally used to handle on/off function of a tool. If your drill randomly stops or the trigger does not respond. Replacing switch assembly would help to resolve the issue. Please note the selector button is sold separately. To complete this repair job you will need a screwdriver. • First make sure equipment is unplugged. • Remove housing screws • Separate housing halves • Disconnect the wires • Remove old switch and secure the new one • Reassemble in reverse order and test your tool
